Successfully conducts Energy Efficiency & Financing Schemes of SIDBI in MSMEs

A Sensitization cum Awareness Programme on Energy Efficiency & Financing Schemes of SIDBI in MSMEs organized by India SME Technology Service Limited (ISTSL) in association with Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) supported by Society of Energy Engineers and Managers (SEEM) and Cybene Consultants Pvt. Ltd. held at Kerala Management Association, Ernakulam, Kerala on 21st March 2018. This programme proved to be an enriching experience empowering the participants how to facilitate and strengthen the credit flow to MSMEs and address both financial and developmental gaps in the MSME eco-system.

The programme started at 04:00 pm with the Welcome Address by Mr. Rajanandan from Cybene Consultants Pvt. Ltd. Mr. Ranjeet Rajan Sinha from ISTSL formally introduced the sessions, Context and agenda. Dr. M. P. Sukumaran Nair , Chairman, Public Sector Restructuring & Internal Audit Board, Govt. of Kerala inaugurated the programme, Ms. Youmna ROMITTI, Head of Energy & Industrial Processes Directorate of Studies and Training CETIAT, France was the Guest of Honour. Felicitation was offered by Mr. G Krishnakumar, National General Secreary, SEEM. 

Mr. C. Jayaraman, Immediate Past General Secretary, SEEM, Mr. C M Varughese, Chairman, SEEM Kerala Chapter and Mr. Azeem, SEEM Kerala Chapter were also present. The Sensitization cum Awareness Programme included technical sessions by resource persons who handled various topics ranging from Energy Efficiency & Benefits of EE Practices for MSMEs, End-to-End-Energy-Efficiency (4E) Scheme of SIDBI for MSMEs, Financing Schemes for MSMEs (4E, SMILE, Udyami Mitra,etc.), Energy Efficiency / Audit-Case Studies, Partial Risk Sharing Facility (PRSF) Scheme for ESCO Projects in India, Solar PV System and its Benefits.

Participants numbering 46 from MSME units, Energy Audit Institutions, representatives from financial institutions like Parayil Food products Pvt. Ltd., Apollo Tyres kalamassery, Baby Marine International, Energy Management Centre, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Arya vaidya sala kottakkal, CETIAT, Kraftwork Solar Pvt Ltd., AES Industries, Alliance packagings Pvt Ltd. , Athul Energy, Alternate Energy Corporation AECO availed the occasion to familiarize the new schemes of SIDBI in MSMEs. The technical session was followed by Q&A Session and the programme came to an end with a High Tea  by 7:30pm.
