Award Report

The Indian Energy Conclave 2025 was organized as part of the SEEM National Energy Management Awards 2024 on 19th & 20th November 2025 at The Suryaa in New Delhi. Approximately 500 energy professionals attended the conclave.

On the 1st Day 19th November, the event commenced with a silent prayer, followed by a welcome address delivered by Mr. G. Krishnakumar, General Secretary of SEEM. Mr. Jayakumar R Nair, National President of SEEM, then delivered the presidential address. Shri.Arun Goyal IAS (Retd), Former Secretary, Govt of India Former Member, CERC graced the occassion as chief guest, Shri Jeevan Kumar Jethani Sr Director, MNRE, New Delhi, Shri. Abhishek Gupta Head – International, Strategy, Appliances, Rooftop Solar & Project Evaluation & Assessment , EESL graced the occassion as guest of honor. Shri.Arun Goyal IAS (Retd) officially inaugurated the event by Watering the plant, joined by other dignitaries and delivered the inaugural address. Mr. Jayesh Darji, chairman of SEEM Awards, offered the vote of thanks.

This opening ceremony was followed by the technical sessions. Mr Jayakumar Nair, National President- SEEM presented on the topic of Successful Decarbonisation Stratergies. A question and answer session followed by the presentation. Mr A.Hashim Fowzan, Founder of Holistiq AI India Pvt Ltd presented on the topic of AI-Driven Innovative Products & Solutions for Transforming Energy Audits into High-Impact Decisions. A question and answer session followed by the presentation. Dr. L Ashok Kumar, Principal- Thiagarajar College of Engineering presented on the topic Green Initiatives @ Thiagarajar College of Engineering. A question and answer session followed by the presentation. Mr. Prem Chander, Mechanical & HVAC Engineer- Christian Medical College Vellore presented on the topic Energy efficient & best practices in hospital Engineering Services- CMC Vellore, Ranipet Campus. A question and answer session followed by the presentation.

This opening ceremony was followed by the technical sessions. Shri. Sathish Kumar S, Technical Consultant ,  Janitza electronics, GmbH, Germany enrich us on the topic “Energy Accounting And Asset Management & Power Quality For Industries / Buildings With Janitza Solutions”. A question and answer session followed by the presentation. Shri. Abhimanyu Mittal, General Manager – DE Renewables Aggregation India Pvt Ltd presented on the topic “Complete Solar Solution For The Commercial  & Industrial  Segment”. A question and answer session followed by these presentations. Shri. V.Pajanivelou, Electrical & Electronics Engineering Professional- Hanon  Automotive Systems, Tamil Nadu presented on the topic “Energy Management & Sustainability Initiatives @ Hanon Systems”. A question and answer session followed by these presentations. Shri. S Haribasker, Assistant Manager in plant engineering- TVS Motor Company Limited, Hosur, Tamil Nadu presented on the topic “Energy Management in TVSM”. A question and answer session followed by these presentations. Shri. P.G.Chil Prakash, Managing Director- Chilton Refrigeration Pvt Limited presented on the topic Dual Purpose Air Conditioner. A question and answer session followed by these presentations. Shri. John Selvin, DGM- Ashok Leyland Foundry Division, Sriperumbudur presented on the topic “Driving Sustainability through Energy Efficiency and EHS Excellence”. A question and answer session followed by these presentations.

SEEM Awards 2024 took place on 19th and 20th November 2024 at The Suryaa, New Delhi, with approximately 500 energy professionals from diverse sectors in attendance. On the first day, the event was graced by Dr. Ashok Kumar, Deputy Director General, Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), as Chief Guest. Shri S.P. Garnaik, Country Representative India at Global Green Growth Institute, and Shri Sandeep Tandon, National Project Manager, UNIDO – Facility for Low Carbon Technology Deployment (FLCTD), attended as Guests of Honour. Awards were presented across various categories, including National Sustainability, National Electrical Safety Champion, National Energy Management Award – Star SDA Award, and Facilities Awards in Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Star Performance categories, to deserving winners from corporates, industries, and institutions, selected by a national jury appointed by SEEM. This edition marked the 10th anniversary of the SEEM Awards, with a significant increase in participation, receiving over 200 nominations for 2024.

The first day commenced around 2:00 pm with a welcome address by Mr. G. Krishnakumar, General Secretary of SEEM, followed by the presidential address by Mr. Jayakumar Nair, President of SEEM. Smt. Gayatri Nair, Jury Chairman of SEEM Awards, explained the selection process and emphasized the commitment to recognizing quality and merit. The Chief Guest, Dr. Ashok Kumar, along with Shri S.P. Garnaik and Shri Sandeep Tandon, inaugurated the event by watering a sapling and felicitated the function.

HVAC Legacy Award was received by  Shri P.G. Chil Prakash, Managing Director, Chilton Refrigeration Pvt. Ltd., and SEEM recognized the individuals who have contributed to the SEEM Awards over the past 10 years, and the recognition was received by Shri Jayakumar Nair, President of SEEM,  Smt. Gayatri Nair, Jury Chairman of SEEM Awards and Ms. Rashmi Arora, Director – Kiefer India Pvt. Ltd.

SEEM National Sustainability Award for  Best Chief Executive Officer –Promoting Sustainability was received by Shri. Rajesh Singh Rana, IAS, CEO – Chhattisgarh  Renewable  Energy Development Agency (CREDA).  SEEM Sustainability Corporate House- Gold Award were received by ITC Royal Bengal & ITC Sonar, Kolkata, West Bengal. SEEM Sustainability Corporate House- Platinum Award was received by Brigade Tech Gardens, developed by Brigade Enterprises Ltd., is managed by WTC Trades & Projects Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru & GSH India Pvt. Ltd., Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

National Electrical Safety Champion  Gold Award was received by HKRP Innovations Limited, Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

Star SDA Award received by Chhattisgarh Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA). Star Performance Award in Certified Energy Auditor category received by Dr. S.R. Sivarasu, Managing Partner, Ram-Kalam Center for Energy Consultancy & Training, Tamil Nadu, Star Performance Award in Certified Energy Manager category received by Shri. Khileshwar Kumar Gajpal, CEM – Hindalco Industries Limited, Hirakud, Odisha. Certificate Of Appreciation – CEM in Energy Audit Firm category received by  Shri. On the second day, the event was attended by energy professionals from diverse sectors. Shri Dhiraj Kumar Srivastava, Director General, BEE, graced the occasion as Chief Guest, with Guests of Honour including Dr. Manoj Kumar Upadhyay, Deputy Adviser (Energy), NITI Aayog, Shri Milind Bhikanrao Deore, Secretary, BEE, Shri Souvik Bhattacharjya, Director, Resource Efficiency & Governance, TERI, and Shri S.P. Garnaik, Global Green Growth Institute. Awards in Platinum, Gold, and Silver categories were presented to winners across sectors and industries, selected by a national jury appointed by SEEM.

The second day began at 2:00 pm with a welcome address by Mr. G. Krishnakumar, followed by the presidential address by Mr. Jayakumar Nair. Smt. Gayatri Nair reiterated the commitment to recognizing quality and merit, and Shri Dhiraj Kumar Srivastava, Director General, Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) inaugurated the proceedings by watering a sapling alongside other dignitaries and felicitated the function.

The Sustainability Icon of the Year was awarded to Shri Rajeev Nambiar, President & COO, Paradeep Phosphates Ltd., Karnataka, and Best CEO /COO– Promoting Sustainability to Shri. R. Krishnakumar CEO & MD, Shree Digvijay Cement Company Limited, Gujarat, Shri Bhuvanesh Chandra Pandey, COO, Jash Engineering Ltd., Indore.
