About the event  

With the consumption and production of energy representing around two-thirds of GHG emissions globally, addressing climate change necessarily involves solutions to energy decarbonization and the more efficient use of energy. Despite astonishing progress on technologies such as solar, wind and energy efficiency, the world is not yet on track to “clock in” within the two-degree Celsius temperature rise that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, in its fifth assessment report, indicates is the maximum allowable to avoid the most serious consequences of climate change. Faster, wider and deeper action is required to decarbonize energy.
